Bonus Story

CHAPTER ONE

When Jackie Black was just a little girl, she hated the noises that would escape the room next to hers—always at night.

The endless moaning and groaning coupled with the crashing of the headboard against the wall every time some deadbeat motherfucker thrust himself into her mother would sicken her. And out of all of her mother’s visitors, none of them were her father. Who was he? She never met him. For all she knew, he could have been the man whom she used to buy nickel bags of marijuana from every morning before school. Fuck him, and every other male for that matter.

But why did her mom allow herself to be used by so many men? None of them ever contributed toward her well-being, and she always struggled just to make ends meet. Hell, some would only show up when they were hungry or desperate for a place to lay their worthless heads. One thing was for sure, though: Jackie felt that women weren’t put on earth to be used like her mother had been a mere sperm bank.

Now, at twenty-three years old, Jackie, her lover Katrina, and their bisexual friend Monique resided together in a plush apartment located just outside of Richmond, Virginia, called Short Pump.

“It’s about time to roll out,” Jackie said to Katrina as she placed her BlackBerry in her jacket pocket.

At five foot two, one hundred and thirty pounds, and a close haircut with brush waves, Jackie didn’t resemble a female at all. And though she despised men, she actually tried her damnest to appear as one. She felt she could do any and everything men did much better, pimping too.

Her looks weren’t attractive. She was plain ugly by most standards. Dark skin, high cheekbones, and an extended forehead, which worked just fine for the Tyreeses of the world, but not for a woman.

“Alright,” Katrina said with her native New York accent, reaching over to stub out the blunt.

Katrina, same age as Jackie but a couple of inches taller, was considered the average around-the-way broad who had fallen for the cons of a hard-nosed dyke. While growing up, guys only wanted her for sexual endeavors and nothing else. Never had she been considered someone’s girl while in Brooklyn. Maybe it was because of the many black spots plaguing her brown skin or the reputation of her having a funky pussy. But whatever the reason, it no longer mattered. Jackie made her feel wanted and loved. Katrina secured her 357 Magnum in its holster and followed Jackie out of the apartment.

At the Olive Garden, inside the restroom, Monique had just completed the call to her friends. She wasn’t a full-fledged lesbian like Jackie and Katrina was, but she was still young and confused. She met Jackie and Katrina a year ago when she ran away from Wardolf, Maryland, in need of a place to stay. Her looks were the couple’s exact opposite.

Monique was a light complexioned beauty. She wore her hair just above her shoulders by choice.
